PARKING:
The Colony Hotel does not have its own parking area but offers discounted Valet Parking Service through an outside company at a daily rate of $40.00
OCCUPANCY:
There is a limit of 4 people (maximum) per room regardless of the room category. Rooms with 1 bed have a limit of 2 people per room.
RESERVATIONS PAYMENT:
The hotel requires the pre-payment of the first night’s room and tax (14% in Miami Beach) upon the booking of any reservation.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
We extend a 72 Hour Cancellation Policy. Guests may cancel a reservation 3 days or more prior to their arrival date and receive a full refund of their reservation deposit. Special events require a 30 Day cancellation.
EARLY CHECK-IN:
The hotel can provide an early Check-In upon availability. A fee of 50% or more of the daily rate may apply.
LATE CHECK-OUT:
Late check-outs can only be provided until 4 P.M. A fee of 50% or more of the daily rate may apply. If a guest checks out past 4 P.M., the full day rate must be paid. Late check-outs can only be confirmed on the morning of departure and is solely based on availability.
AGE REQUIREMENT
You must be at least 21 years of age to check-in.
SMOKING:
The Colony Hotel does not have any smoking rooms – all of our rooms are considered non-smoking rooms. Please be aware that anyone who smokes in our rooms is doing so against our policies and may be subjected to a $250.00 smoking fee.
PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED:
Visa, Euro/Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We do not accept personal checks or pre-paid credit cards as payment. We do not accept cash for incidentals or a security deposit, a valid credit card or debit card will be needed to allow any guest to check-in to the hotel.
DEPOSITS:
Upon check-in all guests are required to place a deposit on their room. This covers all incidentals (telephone calls, room service, laundry service, room damages etc. A credit card must be provided upon check-in to cover this deposit, an authorization will be placed on the card to cover incidentals (at minimum it would be $100.00 per stay, but this amount can be higher and is determined by hotel management). Debit card authorizations appear as “charges” on the card, once a guest has checked out authorizations typically take 5 to 7 business days to be removed. We do not control the amount of time it takes for a hold to be removed. This is determined by the issuing bank. Cash payments will not be accepted to cover incidentals.

LOST & FOUND:
The hotel provides in-room safes for every room. We encourage all guests to keep valuables in their safe. We will not be held liable for any missing items in the room. Any items left behind after a guest has checked-out may be considered “disposable” and may be thrown out. Should the hotel deem an item “valuable” and enter it into our “Lost and Found” items, it will be held for a maximum of 30 days. Any item that has been in Lost and Found for over 30 days will be disposed of. Guests are responsible for the shipping and handling charges associated with the retrieval of their items.
ROLLAWAY BEDS AND BABY CRIBS:
The Colony does not have Roll away beds, but we can provide Baby Cribs free of charge to guests. These are provided on a first come first serve basis. We cannot guarantee the exclusive use of an item prior to check-in.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES:
In each room the hotel provides a “Do Not Disturb” sign, on the opposite side the sign reads “Request for Housekeeping”, please hang that side on your door if you wish Housekeeping to provide service on any given day. Signs should be hung in the morning hours for service, housekeeping will not service a room if there is no sign hanging on your room door.
PACKAGES:
Hotel guests can mail packages prior to or during their stay free of charge. We will hold the package until it is picked up by the guest. We encourage guests to put the same name on the package as the name on the reservation so it can be easily located. Guests are responsible for making sure that they retrieve their package prior to check-out. Should a package be left behind at the hotel, guests will be responsible for the shipping and handling charges associated with retrieval of their package. Any package left behind at the hotel for over 14 days will be disposed of. There is a size and quantity limit to packages being held for free, if the size or quantity of a package(s) are excessive we reserve the right to charge a storage and holding fee.
TAX EXEMPTION:
Any guest with a tax-exemption status will be required to provide all the proper documentation at least 14 days prior to arrival.
WI-FI INTERNET:
The Colony Hotel provides Wi-Fi internet access in all our rooms as well as in the hotel common/public areas. The cost of this service is paid and provided for via the daily hotel resort fee. For whatever reason should the hotel Wi-Fi network be unavailable, a credit will not be applied for this service.
EXTRA-PERSON FEE:
All room rates are based on double occupancy (2 people). Should a guest book a room for 2 people and arrive at the hotel with an extra person(s), an additional $20.00 will be added to the daily room rate for each extra person that will be occupying the room.
PET POLICY:
The Colony Hotel is not pet friendly, we do not accept pets/animals at the property.
RESORT FEE:
Every reservation will be charged a $22.80 per night resort fee that is collected upon check-in and/or added to the final bill. This fee covers the following amenities: Wifi Internet, Beach Towel Rentals, Package Storage and Retention, Fax and Copier Services, Luggage Storage prior to check-in and after check-out, Local and Domestic phone calls in the U.S.
